PEDAL BOATS & PLAYGROUNDS
PORT TOBACCO RIVER PARK
GILBERT RUN PARK
Keep your eyes up! With multiple observation decks
throughout the park, Port Tobacco River Park makes
birdwatching easy and rewarding. The star attraction
is the bald eagle nest viewing platform, where you can
look for Chandler and Hope—the park’s resident eagle
pair (and local celebrities). With a little patience, you
might spot them soaring, calling, or tending their nest!
Gilbert Run Park offers hours of outdoor enjoyment
for all ages. Rent a pedal boat with a loved one around
the freshwater lake, let the kids run wild at the shaded
playground, take a re昀氀ective walk on the nature trail, or
gather with friends for a meal around one of the provided
grills. The park is also a popular spot for pavilion rentals,
so be sure to book in advance for your special occasion.
Don’t forget to check out the zip line next to the sand
volleyball courts!
