FUN on the FARM
T
aste what’s in season! From spring
to fall, you’ll feel (and taste!) the love
from our farms.
Photograph your way through summer at Goldpetal Farms.
The interactive sunflower maze is beautiful and educational!
(Who knew learning about pollination could be so fun?) Take the
sunshine home by the armful with flowers from the u-pick fields.
Navigate fall in Southern Maryland's largest corn maze at
Bowles Farm! Pick pumpkins, visit farm animals, hop on a
wagon ride, and much more. Enjoy a sweet treat from
The Farmer’s Daughter Cupcakes while you’re there!
There’s something for every season at Forrest Hall Farm,
whether you stop in to pick peaches, select locally grown
produce and a ribeye for the grill, or enjoy the petting zoo.
Don’t miss the apple cider donuts!
FARM MARKETS
Support sustainable agriculture while you shop goods from
over two dozen vendors at the Home Grown Farm Market in
Lexington Park. Discover everything from sourdough bread to
charcuterie boxes and oysters. Check out locally produced craft
beverages while you’re there: small batch beer from Jubilee
Farm Fermentations and hard cider from Free State Cider.
Stock up on local meats at the California Farmers Market in
California. Choose from beef, pork, chicken, lamb, and goat,
and shop for fresh eggs, stunning flowers, and craft beer.
The baked goods here are a can’t-miss!
While you explore the county, keep an eye out for roadside
farm stands, like Trossbach Produce. You’ll find some of the
freshest produce around at these stands run by hardworking
local farmers.
